Governing Body - AICTE
All India Council for Technical Education is an Apex statutory body established by the Act of Parliament (Act 52 of 1987). The council is in to monitoring the National institutes of technologies, the state engineering colleges , regional engineering colleges and other private institutes imparting technical and management education . The council has been entrusted with the mandate to carry out the following activities.

1.) Grant approval for establishment of new technical institutions.
2.) Monitor courses/intake in the field of technical and management education.
3.) Monitor the planning & development of technical education system in the country.
